Matching plates from a set made by Beyer and Bock. I do not know the pattern name or the exact date it was released. The Beyer and Bock mark dates from 1931-1990. Based on the design of the artwork, I would estimate they were made in the 1930’s – 1940’s. Larger plate looks like a salad or bread plate, measures 7.5 inches in diameter. The smaller plate is saucer sized at just less than 6 inches in diameter. Burnished gold, hand painted banners of stars flank either side of a pale, pink enamel flower and alternating fields of spring green. Edge is scalloped. Wear to design from center out on both plates, some chipping in the paint of the flowers and faded gold burnishing. Markings: Crown mark with crossed B’s, Volkstedt handgemalt.
