Art Pottery and Ceramic Decor

Beige ceramic tea pot, no marking. 3.5 inches high, 8.5 inches from spout to handle, about 5 inches from front to back. Decorated with gold blocks alternating with turquoise and reddish transfer. No chips, no crazing, no cracks. Two tiny spots that were missed by the glaze. Probably an import. Shipping will be calculated at checkout.

White Vase by Bennington Pottery, of Bennington, Vermont. Has an odd little scrap of clay in bottom that looks like a handle off another object ended up stuck inside the bottom of this vase. Air hole marks from bubbles bursting during firing, crazed throughout, well made and well glazed. 6.5 inches high, 3 inches in diameter. Not sure of age. Probably dates to the 50’s or 60’s. Small, blue pottery bowl, probably had a lid at one time. Real pretty shade of pale blue. There is no maker’s mark on this piece, just the letters U.S.A. impressed on the bottom of the dish so it’s probably Hull or McCoy, or one of their contemporaries. I imagine this came with a set. Would make a nice condiment server or an addition to a collection of blue pottery.

Delicate Japanese china Tea Set with a Blue Willow style transfer. Comes with 6 little cups, a small saucer, sugar, and a creamer. There is a lid but I don’t think it was actually made to fit the sugar bowl. Translucent china. Well made and decorated, very thin. Cups have chips and nicks in rims, all but one. Unmarked. Measurements: creamer 2.5 inches high, spout to end of handle 4.5 inches. Sugar 3.25 inches in diameter, 2.25 inches in height. Plate is 3.25 inches diameter.

Unique pottery lion made in Quebec, Canada, by Canuck Pottery. Well made, nicely finished with a flame red dripped glaze over glossy black. Marked on top, “Montreal”. Still bears original sticker on underside of lion. No chips, nicks, cracks, or crazing. Measures 7 inches long, 5 inches high.
